“Your trauma explains you it does not define you.”
My motto resonates personally and has become my mission in helping others through their own healing. I was able to complete my master’s degree while going through my divorce. Ten days after my ex spouse died, I walked with my class at graduation.
I was the first woman to complete my master’s degree in my family and I’ve dedicated my work and life to empowering others and not allowing setbacks to stop me on me journey. I currently work as a full time counselor in a school and as an adjunct at my university alma mater. I have presented at conferences, assisted in research collaborations and spoken at various public speaking engagements.
I work to help others understand that trauma doesn’t define you. It’s a part of you, but it doesn’t need to define you or your ability to accomplish what you want. I don’t prescribe to one size fits all techniques and I’m constantly scouting the internet, publications and research to find solutions that work for you.
I am excited to share insightful articles, out of the box answers to questions and real world experience to assist you and your family in juggling the many things that life throws your way.
